Dapple Dandy Pluot Jam

I enjoyed the taste of Dapple Dandy pluots so much in an ice cream recipe that I decided to make a jam from the same fruit.

Ingredients:

8C Dapple Dandy pluots (10 large fruit)
1/3C water
5 1/2C sugar
1 large lemon
1 pkg pectin

Directions:

Pit and coarsely chop the pluots, then boil with the water until soft. Add the sugar and lemon juice, stir, then boil down for 25 minutes. Add the pectin and boil one more minute.
then pack into sterilized jars and water process for 15 minutes.

This recipe makes 3 pints of jam.
