Tomato Lavender Salad

Do I even need to discuss this one? Think summer garden, quick and easy...I prefer this to using Lavender Salt because the fresh lavender is more fragrant.


Ingredients:
ripe beefsteak tomatoes
mayonnaise
sea salt
lavender petals

Directions:
Slice the tomatoes, plate them and lightly sprinkle with a flaky kosher or sea salt (Halen Mon or Murray River would be excellent), then add a dollop of mayonnaise and sprinkle with the flower petals (not buds) of a culinary lavender (Hidcote is my favorite or any other English or Provence lavender).
